Silence

Silence

I spent last week in silence, as I often do, and many have asked me why. My answer is simple: why not? We all come from silence, and one day we'll give our lives to silence. After all, nature flourishes in silence. The grass, the trees, the flowers; the entire sky rejoices in it. Under the moon and the sun, animals bravely navigate their lives through silence, as giant bodies of water and majestic mountains exude a kind of stillness that can hush us, humans, into deep presence, quieting our busy minds so we can simply breathe and BE.

We forget that WE ARE NATURE, part of the heart of it all. Human beings and nature are so intimately connected, yet we act as though we are somehow separate, ignoring all the many lessons we are graced by every day. It's only through silence that we can see clearly and come home to our most authentic nature. It's in the quiet stillness that we can touch the deep wisdom, the natural joy, and the profound peace that reside in us, waking up our creativity as we nourish our souls.

Silence holds all the answers; it can teach us everything we need to know and reunite us with the kind of love that's not outside of us, the bottomless and divine love that already dwells in each one of us. So, that's why I spend time in silence. It's a way to connect with our true selves, tap into the infinite wisdom of the universe, and come back to the love that resides within us, waiting to be discovered in the depths of silence.
